Through my love of helping the community, children and families, I have ended up here as the Cumberland Family Connector. I am excited to share my passion for my community and the incredible forest, parks, trails, people and village that makes up Cumberland.
I grew up on the island and am now excited to raise my two young children here in the Comox Valley. Living in Cumberland since 2010, I knew this is where I would call home. Close to the ocean, river, lakes, forest and snowy mountains, it has everything someone with a passion (and bachelor’s degree) in Outdoor Education could want. Since my education, I have worked and travelled through Recreation, Outdoor Education and Summer Camps and have started our family with my partner who is from Adelaide, Australia.
I am excited to be able to engage with our young families, offering connections to each other and our village, while supporting children through the work the Building Connections Project is set out to do. I look forward to working in partnership to improve the health and well-being of young children by supporting families and building community within Cumberland. Please feel free to reach out with any ideas, comments or excitement you have!
