The Building Connections Project is a community-led initiative that strengthens the network of supports for families with young children throughout the Comox Valley. Guided by the Comox Valley Early Years Collaborative (CVEYC), the project brings together parents, caregivers, service providers, and community organizations to build stronger, more connected neighbourhoods.

Using a neighbourhood-based approach, Building Connections helps families access play, learning, and support opportunities close to home. Each neighbourhood’s unique strengths, needs, and experiences guide local activities and partnerships, ensuring that families are at the heart of every decision.

Rooted in collaboration and inclusivity, the project works to reduce barriers, enhance belonging, and ensure that all families—regardless of where they live—feel supported, included, and connected within their community. Through this work, we aim to build a stronger, healthier foundation for children’s growth and well-being across the Comox Valley.
