Exceptional presentation of race and racism. Based on the award winning exhibit by the American Anthropological Association.

Lutheran Human Relations Association http://www.lhra.org/ A uniquely Lutheran organization which provides training and resources for anti-racism training and better understanding of white privilege.

Southern Poverty Law Center http://www.splcenter.org/ A premier anti-racism organization in Alabama which pursues hate groups into court and provides a number of excellent resources for schools and institutions. Their two newsletters “Intelligence Report” and “Teaching Tolerance” are worth examining. Their publication “Ten Ways to Fight Hate: A Community Response Guide” is widely used. Our DVD’s “In the Shadow of Hate” and “A Place at the Table” are SPLC.

Crossroads http://crossroadsantiracism.org/ This organization, based in Chicago, provided our first dismantling racism workshops here in the Greater Wenatchee Valley some 12 years ago. Joseph Barndt, their founder, wrote Understanding & Dismantling Racism: The Twenty-first Century Challenge to White America. Fortress Press, 2007. It is an excellent overview on the issue of racism and how to confront it in our communities.

ELCA Social Statements and Messages. www.ELCA.org These are some of the best resources set in an ethical and biblical context. There are many and they address such relevant issues as Racism, Peace, Violence, Environment, Health Care, Poverty, Immigration, etc.

Just Neighbors www.familypromise.org An excellent 9 session engaging and hands on curriculum that helps congregations to better understand the dynamics and issues surrounding economic and racial justice. He and Rosemary his wife also provide day long seminars on his book.
