PATHWAYS TO QUANTUM IMMERSION PROGRAM
DISCOVER THE WORLD OF QUANTUM THIS SUMMER

Quantum in your Classroom is an introduction to quantum science for elementary, middle and high school teachers. Come learn about what quantum is, why it is important for your students, and where you can find resources to integrate it into your classrooms. No prior knowledge of quantum is required. Future professional development opportunities will be available to participants.
Participants will receive a $150 stipend, and DC and VA teachers will receive five professional development hours.

The physics education research group at George Mason University is currently looking for physics PhD Students interested in education research across a number of different projects including: (1) how to develop the quantum workforce through experiential learning for students, teacher professional development, and curriculum development; (2) how grassroots change can improve teaching practices in large STEM gateway courses; and (3) how the understanding of career pathways, mentorship, and leadership influence physics identity and sense of belonging for women in physics.

PhD Components:
4 core physics courses (E&M, classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, and statistical mechanics)
