Buffalo Dave’s square dance music was getting so popular that he decided to create the The Square Dance Heroes to focus on old time country folk music and traditional country music for square dancing. He wanted to create a little looser feel for the project and it's been fun and folks have enjoyed it! Buffalo Dave has been traveling around and fiddling for folks (sometimes fiddling on top of a mountain) plucking his guitar and thumping the bass. He's collected and written lots of tunes and recorded them to share with you!

The Wolf Rock Band (for which Buffalo Dave is the founding member and producer) performs on many of Buffalo Dave’s tracks. DD Rapman performs on Buffalo Dave’s hillbilly hiphop bro country tracks.

How Dave started to use the name "Buffalo Dave": "I was a daisy girl scout leader for my daughter's troop and was helping with a summer day camp. It was a circus themed program. We were supposed to come up with a circus name for ourselves. I knew that Buffalo Bill had been a circus performer in his "Wild West Show" so I chose "Buffalo Dave" as my circus name. Every day the ringmaster at the camp would talk at the beginning of the camp. She always began her talk with "Ladies and Gentleman" - I was the only male at the camp. In my girl scout leader days, I led games, played guitar and led singing - it was a fun time. When I decided to release some country music I thought I should use my "Buffalo Dave" name.
