Rover Scout

Rover Scouts, Rovers, Rover Scouting or Rovering is a service program associated with scouting for young men, and in many countries , women into their early 20s. A group of Rovers is called a " Rover Crew".

Objectives

  • Provide service to the Scout Movement.
  • Meet new people.
  • Provide Service to the community.
  • Develop as individuals by expanding one's range of skills.
  • Enjoy fellowship, social, outdoor, and cultural activities.
  • Improve physical and mental endurance on week long expeditions.
  • Improve management and leadership skills.
  • Be a mentor to younger scouts.
  • Challenge yourself to try new things.

BRSC

BUET Rover Scout Club (BRSC) is a central club of BUET and it has separate funding from BUET. Each year, our teachers and members take different scouting trainings to be a Rover Scout Leader (RSL) and a Senior Rover Mate (SRM) respectively.

BRSC Activity

  • Volunteering in BUET Annual Sports
  • Volunteering in BUET Annual Alumni reunion
  • Volunteering in BUET Admission test
  • Volunteering in different events organized by BUET monthly or bi-monthly basis etc.
