Morning Session

10am to 1pm
GM: Richard
System: Call of Cthulhu (7th Edition)
Players: 2-6
Genre: Cosmic Horror
Pre-Gen Characters Provided
Your friend has found something spectacular beneath his newly inherited Rhode Island home. But some secrets aren’t meant to be unearthed. What uncanny truth lies beneath the hills of Providence? What arcane horrors have laid there, undisturbed, for untold strange eons? If you find out, will you live long enough to tell the story of the darkness beneath the hill?
Warnings: Call of Cthulhu is a horror game and most concerns with horror literature apply. This scenario involves scenes of horror, violence, existential dread, and may make reference to dark historical events including slavery, war, racism, and imprisonment. Player characters may learn about but do not participate in those historical atrocities. Religious themes, psychological trauma, and other common horror elements may be present. Adult players only, please - this scenario is not appropriate for children.
Notes: New players to both CoC and RPGs are very welcome! This scenario is designed for new players (but old hats will still enjoy it!) But please see warnings before applying as CoC can be gritty and dark!
GM: Dennis
System: Classic D&D
Players: 3-6
Genre: Pulp Fantasy
Pre-Gen Characters Provided
Atop a hill called The Dragon's Den is an old wizard's tower with no doors, now ruled by the evil sorcerer Kelek and his warrior companion Warduke. Beneath the hill is the lair of a red dragon named Grimflame. Sir Constantus, Lord of Silverwood, has called you to his service to end the threat of either the wizard or the dragon...or both.
Sir Constantus has gifted you a box of potions that may aid you in this quest, and has given you letters of marque stating that any treasures you liberate from the Dragon’s Den are yours to keep. Will you face the dragon, or the wizard? Can you defeat them both?
Warnings: Typical RPG violence, plundering, mayhem. Potentially: character death, giant bugs, mind control, incineration, claustrophobic situations
Notes: This is old school D&D, you're an adventurer not a hero. Careful and creative play will be rewarded. Not every monster is there to be fought. Running is an option. So is talking. Dice will fall where they may. A TPK is always a possibility.

Characters Created During the Game
The year is 1875. The war of the states is a decade past. Muskets give way to repeating rifles. The West is still wild and waiting. You're members of the Jeopards Lodge, the private backed investigative enterprise seeking to prove the paranormal. Not a thing has turned up on the search for the supernatural but there is hope where others despair. A sister of faith has reached out to you with concerns for the children of the orphanage, they are suddenly in high demand.
Warnings: Child harm, racism, murder
Notes: This is a horror system so character death and failure is highly possible. The setting takes place in a less progressive time but I won't accept usage of slurs or discrimination of race/sex/gender by the players. This is also a playtest of a system in development so rule changes may happen and feedback is welcome.
