The Bruskarian Military
Military of Bruskaria
The Bruskarian Military is responsible for the defense of the Grand Duchy of Bruskaria, the protection of its territory and people, and the maintenance of military readiness.
The military operates under an established hierarchy headed by the Grand General of the Army, who serves as the highest-ranking military authority and oversees the organization, administration, training, and command of Bruskarian military personnel.
The official motto of the Bruskarian military is “Si vis pacem, para bellum” — “If you want peace, prepare for war.”
Organization
The Bruskarian military operates according to an established chain of command headed by the Grand General of the Army.
Personnel may serve in conventional or specialized roles according to their rank, training, qualifications, and assigned responsibilities. Specialized units may maintain their own organizational structures and training requirements while remaining subordinate to the wider military command.
The military structure may be expanded or reorganized according to the defensive and operational requirements of Bruskaria.
Military Grouping Hierarchy
The Bruskarian Army uses a standardized military grouping system to organize personnel from individual squads to entire corps. Each formation is composed of a fixed number of the formation directly below it, with the exception of Corps, which may contain an unrestricted number of Divisions.
Squad
The smallest organized military grouping. A Squad consists of 4 soldiers.
Platoon
A Platoon consists of 4 Squads, for a total strength of 16 soldiers.
Company
A Company consists of 10 Platoons, for a total strength of 160 soldiers.
Battalion
A Battalion consists of 6 Companies, for a total strength of 960 soldiers.
Regiment
A Regiment consists of 6 Battalions, for a total strength of 5,760 soldiers.
Division
A Division consists of 4 Regiments, for a total strength of 23,040 soldiers.
Corps
A Corps consists of an unrestricted number of Divisions and therefore has no fixed personnel strength. Corps represent the highest level of the standard Bruskarian military grouping hierarchy.
Unit
A Unit is a uniquely structured Bruskarian formation that exists separately from the standard military hierarchy. A Unit consists of 20 Platoons without companies.
Official Corps of Bruskaria
Corps are the largest formations within the standard Bruskarian military hierarchy. Each Corps may contain an unrestricted number of Divisions, allowing its size and composition to vary according to its purpose.
Multiple Corps may exist simultaneously, with each serving as an independent large-scale military organization containing Divisions assigned to its particular role or purpose. Corps represent the highest level of organization within the standard Bruskarian military grouping system.
