PTA Welcomes Teachers Back to School!
To help our educators prepare for a successful year, the PTA was also proud to provide a few special gifts:
Classroom Essentials: We distributed gift cards to help our staff stock up on necessary supplies, providing $50 for all classroom teachers and $25 for specials teachers.
Tiger Pride: Keeping with our favorite annual tradition, we gifted every teacher a brand-new TIGER spirit t-shirt!
Back to School Lunch: The PTA was thrilled to kick off the new school year by treating our incredible staff to a back-to-school lunch from Chipotle on their first day back!
The fun wasn't just for the staff, though - all the students who attended the back-to-school meet-and-greet enjoyed refreshing popsicles sponsored by the PTA. Thank you to our amazing community for making all these moments possible!
What an incredible event! Thanks to the amazing support of our school families, community members, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and staff, this year’s Family Fun Fair was our biggest and most successful yet!
With record turnout, amazing silent auction items, and an unforgettable performance by The Headspin Guy, the evening was filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit.
A special thank you goes to our planning committee and volunteers whose hard work and dedication made the event possible. We truly couldn’t have done it without you!

The National PTA Reflections program is always a highlight in our district, and this year was no exception! Inspired by the theme "I Belong," our talented students submitted beautiful and meaningful entries. A huge thank you to every student who participated—each piece of artwork is unique and special in its own way!
We are thrilled to announce that Brooks had the most student submissions (7) of all elementary schools in the district, and we tied with WVHS for the most projects advancing across all schools!
An extra big congratulations goes out to our winners whose entries advanced to the Regional level, and a massive shoutout to the student who made it all the way to Nationals! To recognize our wonderful students, our PTA honored them all with participation ribbons and trophies.
We are certain we will have even more entries next year. Get a head start thinking about your projects for next year's theme: "What My Culture Means to Me." We can't wait to see what our students create!
The Neon Dream dance was such a fun and memorable event! This beloved tradition at our school brought together our Brooks girls and their loved adults for an unforgettable evening of music, laughter, and dancing. The photo booth was a perfect addition, capturing the joy and smiles of the night.
A heartfelt thank-you to our amazing event chairs, Gisselle Roberts and Swatie Jain, for their hard work and creativity. And a big shoutout to all the wonderful moms who volunteered their time and energy to make this event truly special!
This year, for the first time in a while, the PTA reintroduced the Room Parent Program. Room parent volunteers support and coordinate with teachers on an as-needed basis, helping to build a stronger bridge between classrooms and families.
As part of this initiative, classroom parties were also brought back. Students had a wonderful time at the winter party around the holidays, making fun crafts and enjoying juice and snacks provided by the PTA. It was a joyful way to celebrate the season and bring our school community together.
Our Moms’ Night Out at Miller’s Ale House was a wonderful opportunity for moms to take a well-deserved break from their busy routines and enjoy an evening of laughter, conversation, and connection. It was a relaxed and fun night where everyone had the chance to mingle, share stories, and simply enjoy each other’s company. Events like this remind us how special our school community is — full of supportive, inspiring, and fun-loving parents!
Trunk or Treat is always one of the most anticipated and fun events at Brooks! This year, we had more than 25 creatively decorated trunks, with teachers, parents, and local businesses coming together to hand out a wonderful variety of treats to our little trick-or-treaters. A big sout out to our event chair Jackie Rothar and her family for helping run this smoothly.
While the kids enjoyed going from trunk to trunk collecting candy and admiring all the decorations, parents relaxed with delicious churros, hot chocolate, and goodies from the food truck. It was a fantastic community event that brought everyone together for a night full of fall fun and sweet memories!
The outdoor classroom at Brooks is a wonderful addition to our campus and a meaningful way to honor our retired principal, Mrs. Terri Russell. This beautiful space stands as a tribute to her years of dedication and leadership.
A huge shoutout to Michael and his team for bringing this vision to life. This project cost the PTA nearly $21,000, thoughtfully budgeted and saved from funds raised over several years.
This new space will create countless opportunities for learning, exploration, and fun for our students. A heartfelt thank-you to all the parents and families who have contributed and who continue to support the PTA, making such valuable enhancements to our school possible.
Our school held a Fun Run this year as one of our major fundraising events for 2025–2026, and it was a huge success! Every student participated, making it a fun and memorable day for everyone. Thanks to the amazing support of our students, families, and community, we raised nearly $20,000. These funds will go toward new carpets for classrooms and new benches for the park. While we didn’t quite reach our goal for a new digital marquee sign, we’re setting aside funds to make it happen in the future. A big thank-you to all the families that donated and the PTA also sponsored icy popsicles for all the kids to celebrate their participation and hard work!
Walk to School Day is another beloved Brooks tradition that encourages students to start their morning with some fresh air, exercise, and fun! Many students arrive a little early to enjoy time with friends before entering the school through the back doors. Each participant receives a small trinket from the PTA as a fun reward for taking part. It’s a simple but meaningful event that promotes healthy habits and builds a sense of community among our students.
Movie Night at Brooks has become a wonderful school tradition that families look forward to each year! Students, parents, and staff came together for an evening of fun, laughter, and community spirit. This year’s featured film was Minecraft — Oooo Lava Chicken!, and it was a hit with everyone. The event was not only enjoyable but also successful, raising close to $2,000 in profit for the school. A huge thank-you goes out to FirstCare Heating and Cooling for serving as one of our main sponsors and generously covering the cost of the entire event. We also extend our gratitude to Goosehead Insurance – Paul Agombar for their sponsorship and support. Thanks to our amazing sponsors and families, Movie Night continues to be a cherished tradition that brings our community together year after year.
This year's PTA sign-up contest was a tremendous success, bringing in more memberships than we've seen in a long time! We’re so grateful to every family that joined and showed their commitment to supporting our school community and ensuring their voices are heard. We welcomed nearly 80 new families to the PTA this year, and every teacher at Brooks also paid their membership dues — a true show of unity and dedication.
To celebrate, the winning class at each grade level enjoyed a special pizza lunch! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this year’s membership drive such a great achievement
The Teacher Meet and Greet is always one of the most exciting days of the year, as students eagerly return to school after a long summer break. Families fill the halls with smiles and laughter as children reconnect with friends and meet their new teachers. To make the day even more enjoyable, the PTA treated every student to a refreshing icy popsicle — the perfect way to cool down on a warm summer afternoon. It was a wonderful start to a new school year, full of excitement, community spirit, and sweet smiles!
