Mission Statement

The Centre for Sport Capacity is a hub for research, student experiential education, and practical support to sport organizations in the Niagara Region, across Canada, and abroad. The CSC has developed e-learning modules for sport professionals and volunteers across the world.

Why Use This Resource?

With the COVID-19 crisis shining a spotlight on online curriculum development in Ontario, it is now more important than ever to create contemporary online resources for secondary students that are now participating in hybrid models of learning. Creating activities that are informative, interesting, and fun to complete is essential for knowledge retention as well as overall satisfaction with the learning experience. This is why a group of Brock University teaching candidates have combined their sport expertise and knowledge of the Ontario secondary curriculum, to create free, open-access units of study for online teaching, centred around sport. These e-learning resources work to integrate sport across various curriculum areas and fit both grades 9-10 and 11-12 curriculum.
