Journal Writing is a great way for students to engage in creative thinking. Further, students can practice spelling, grammar and organization when journal writing. This link has various writing prompts for students to begin writing.
Spelling Training is a website for students to practice their spelling words. Students can simply type their words in and have them read to them. Also, the website automatically creates a generated games with the spelling list.
This link has different lessons, games and activities for students to begin learning and practicing spelling. It is free to signup for an account and students can practice with worksheets or online.
