The Blu Passport Initiative

 The Blu Passport is a bold initiative designed to reignite undergraduate engagement across the Western Region by encouraging brothers to travel, connect, and represent Phi Beta Sigma on campuses beyond their own. This program strengthens brotherhood, boosts visibility, and builds a culture of unity and pride.

What It Is

A regional travel and fellowship program where undergraduate brothers visit selected host chapters during their Sigma/Blue & White Weeks to support events, build bonds, and increase campus presence.

 Goals

•  Increase chapter-to-chapter fellowship across the Western Region.

•  Boost interest in membership through strong, visible Sigma presence.

•  Enhance alumni-undergraduate networking and post-grad readiness.

•  Create a unified regional identity through shared experiences.

How It Works

• Two host chapters are selected each year (one in fall, one in spring).

•  Host chapters organize a Thursday–Sunday event series including:

  • Tabling/Yard Show

  • Community Service

  • Social Event (party, BBQ, etc.)

•  Traveling brothers attend and participate in all events, wearing letters and representing the region.

Alumni & Regional Support

•  Graduate chapters assist with accommodations, meals, and mentorship.

•  Western Region provides financial support and promotes events.

•  A regional fundraiser offsets travel and lodging costs for participants.
