1. Introduction
   Ders Zamanı ("we," "our," "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.
   
   

2. Information We Collect
   
   

• Information You Provide: When you submit a bug report, we collect the description you write. If you choose to attach a file (image, PDF, or other document), that file is also collected. No name, email address, or other identifying information is required or collected.
  
  

• Information Collected Automatically via Bug Reports: When a bug report is submitted, the following device and app information is collected automatically: operating system and version, device model, brand, manufacturer, Android SDK level, whether the device is a physical device or emulator, and app version, build number, and package name.
  
  

• Analytics Data (Firebase Analytics): The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data such as app events, session duration, and device information. This data is used solely to understand how the app is used and to guide improvements. Firebase Analytics may also use the Advertising ID. You can review Google's data practices at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
  
  

• Advertising Data (Google AdMob): The app uses Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to display banner advertisements. AdMob may collect and use the Advertising ID and other non-personal information to provide, personalize, and measure ads.
  
  

• Local Storage: Schedule and notification data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us.
  
  

• Temporarily Processed Files: If you upload a schedule PDF or other file to generate in-app content or functionality, the file may be temporarily processed on our server solely for that purpose. These files are not stored permanently and are not linked to your identity.
  
  

3. How We Use Information
   Bug report descriptions and device information are used solely to diagnose and fix issues within the app. Attached files are scanned for malware via VirusTotal before being stored, and are used only for bug investigation purposes. Files uploaded for temporary processing (like PDFs for schedule generation) are used only to complete the requested operation and are not stored or linked to any user account. Firebase Analytics data is used in an aggregated, anonymized manner to understand app usage and guide improvements. AdMob data is used by Google to serve and personalize advertisements. Schedule and notification data stored locally is used exclusively to manage your in-app lesson notifications.
   
   

4. Third-Party Services and Data Storage
   Bug report data (description, device info, and any attached files) is stored in Google Firestore, hosted on Google Cloud. Attached files are stored on Cloudinary after passing a VirusTotal malware scan. Files are sent to our FastAPI backend hosted on Render solely for the purpose of malware scanning before being forwarded to Cloudinary. Files uploaded for temporary processing (like schedules in PDF format) are handled on our server only for processing and are not stored. Firebase Analytics and AdMob data are processed and stored by Google in accordance with their privacy policies. Ders Zamanı does not sell or share any collected data with third parties beyond the services described above.
   
   

5. Permissions
   Ders Zamanı requests the following permissions to deliver functionality:
   
   

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM, USE_EXACT_ALARM, and VIBRATE are used to schedule and deliver lesson alerts.
  
  

• com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID is required by AdMob and Firebase Analytics to serve and measure ads.
  
  

• RECORD_AUDIO is used for local speech-to-text voice assistance — audio is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted externally.
  
  

• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below only) is used solely to allow importing PDF schedule files and attaching files to bug reports through the system file picker.
  
  

6. Data Retention
   Bug report data stored in Firestore is retained for as long as necessary to investigate and resolve the reported issue, after which it may be deleted at our discretion. Attached files stored on Cloudinary are retained for the same purpose. Files uploaded for temporary processing (PDFs, schedules, etc.) are not stored permanently. Locally stored schedule and notification data remains on your device until you delete the app or clear app data. Analytics and advertising data is retained according to Google's own data retention policies.
   
   

7. Security
   Bug report data is transmitted over HTTPS. Attached files are scanned for malware via VirusTotal before being stored. Files processed temporarily on the server (e.g., PDFs for schedules) are transmitted securely over HTTPS and are deleted immediately after processing. Locally stored data is not transmitted by us and remains on your device. We take reasonable measures to protect data in transit and at rest, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
   
   

8. Children's Privacy
   Ders Zamanı is intended for use by teachers and school staff. While the app may process schedule information referencing students, no student personal data is collected or transmitted. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Future student-facing features will be subject to updated privacy terms.
   
   

9. Your Rights
   Bug report data does not include personal identifiers, so it cannot be linked back to a specific individual. If you believe data you submitted can be identified as yours and wish to request its deletion, you may contact us at the address below. For ads and analytics, you can manage or opt out of ad personalization through your Google account settings or device settings.
   
   

10. Legal Compliance
    Ders Zamanı complies with applicable privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPA. Bug report data collected does not include personal identifiers. Analytics and advertising data transmitted by Firebase and AdMob is governed by Google's privacy policy. Users in applicable regions may have rights regarding data processed on their behalf by these third-party services and may exercise those rights through Google's privacy settings.
    
    

11. Changes to This Policy
    We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect future changes, such as the introduction of new features or third-party services. Updates will be posted within the app and/or on our website.
