Social Justice
By exploring the intersection of psychology, child/adolescent development, and social justice, I have developed a strong understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized populations. This knowledge has empowered me to advocate for social justice, promote inclusivity, and implement self-care practices to prevent burnout in my career.
Child psychology professionals are at the forefront of addressing social justice issues. They recognize that social, economic, and environmental factors can significantly impact a child's development and well-being. These professionals advocate for equitable access to resources and services, promote inclusive and culturally sensitive practices, and work to address systemic barriers to support every child's optimal growth and development.
