Acrobat is important in Strategic Communication for creating interactive, user-friendly documents like catalogs and forms that function seamlessly online. By combining layout tools from Word or InDesign with Acrobat’s interactive features, these skills can translate directly to real-world uses like digital applications, client forms, and product guides for web and email distribution.
For this project, I designed a one-page interactive employee application form for my fictional brand Retro Fisch. The layout was created in Adobe InDesign, where I structured the page using proper margins, typography, spot colors, and design elements that reflected the brand identity. After designing the form layout in InDesign, I exported the file to Adobe Acrobat, where I added interactive features including text fields, a data entry table, checkboxes, radio buttons, a working hyperlink, and a submit button that sends the completed form via email.
This project emphasized combining clean, professional layout design with functional interactivity for digital use. It demonstrates my ability to create web-friendly documents that are both visually appealing and user-focused, while adhering to industry standards for interactive PDF forms.
In this project, I designed a multi-page interactive catalog using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat. The layout followed structured formatting principles, including the use of a customized design theme, consistent heading styles, and proper page formatting. The catalog featured a title page, a functional Table of Contents with clickable navigation links, and multiple sections organized with Heading 1 and Heading 2 styles, each containing formatted body text.
Once the layout was complete in Word, I exported the document to Acrobat and enhanced it with interactive features such as internal navigation via anchors and live Table of Contents links. A consistent header or footer (excluding the title page) included the catalog’s title, subtitle, and automatic page numbers. This project demonstrated my ability to create organized, web-ready interactive documents using everyday software tools, combining usability with clear visual structure for digital publishing.
