Check the volunteer list on Membership Toolkit and recruit parents, if needed. 

Send out a reminder email to parent volunteers prior to party to remind them of their duties.

Check to see if there are students with food allergies and determine how to set the menu. 

Email the parents attending the party and those sending the craft or games to make sure all understand the instructions. 

Touch base with the teacher for any last-minute questions/concerns. 

Coordinate with other class parents to recognize the teacher on their birthday and during Teacher Appreciation week.  See Staff Favorite Things on Membership Toolkit for some of their favorite things and wishlist items for the classroom.

A number of teachers/staff have summer/early fall birthdays, so half birthdays can be celebrated instead. We like the teacher to know that that class is thinking of them on their special day, but it doesn't have to be anything elaborate.  It could be a cup of coffee, a bouquet of flowers, homemade cards, etc.  

Reach out to new parents with a phone call or email. Contact information will be in the buzz book.
