Reflect on your involvement in high school.

• What leadership positions did you hold in student government, clubs and organizations, or school affiliates (ambassadors, etc.)?

• Log into WCU Engage and search for similar opportunities by category of interest or just peruse all 200+ clubs, orgs, and student government branches.

• In a reflection in your portfolio, compose a list of up to 5 that are most similar and rank them by your interest in getting involved. If you don’t find 5 organizations, list clubs you would LIKE to start and research and write up the process for starting a new club on campus.

• Next in the reflection, identify where and when the groups meet and indicate the names and contact information for the student leaders/officers in the group. Creating a table works well for this. Be sure to include the websites and links you visited so you can refer to it later! Upload into your portfolio.

Gain valuable transferable skills.

• Complete Level 1 of the leadership skill in the DegreePlus Program. Upload your points dashboard into your portfolio, and provide a reflection on what you gained in transferrable and extracurricular knowledge from the level 1 Leadership (consider using this reflection as the basis for your level 2-3 Degree Plus attainment). 

• Upload your reflection and points dashboard into your portfolio as an artifact.
