Symphonic Band
Symphonic Band
Symphonic Band is the most advanced large ensemble within the band program. Students who wish to gain entrance to the group must do so through audition, and must demonstrate requisite skill. Symphonic Band is ideal for students who:
Want to challenge themselves with harder music and performance skills.
Want to perform at college festivals or other unique events.
Want to prepare for college music auditions or scholarship opportunities.
Students will also be admitted based on ensemble needs for balance: depending on instrumentation, there might be a limited number of spots per instrument. At a minimum, the ensemble is looking for the following:
4 Flutes (Including 1 Piccolo)
1 Oboe
1 Bassoon
3 Clarinets
1 Bass Clarinet
2 Alto Sax
1 Tenor Sax
1 Bari Sax
2 French Horn
4 Trumpet
3 Trombone
1 Euphonium
1 Tuba
*String Bass Players are also welcome to audition.
