The project will be separated into 4 periods where teachers/AEs will participate according to the importance of getting CLIL training. Teachers from secondary school (grades 5 - 8) will be preferred.
1. Period: August 2019 - February 2020 (4 secondary English or CLIL teachers)
2. Period: February - July 2020(4 secondary English or CLIL teachers)
3. Period: August 2020 - February 2021 (4 secondary English or CLIL teachers)
4. Period: February - June 2020 (4 secondary English/CLIL teachers / 2 AEs)
The coordinating team has already thoroughly discussed with the administration and the principle the schools' CLIL needs and therefore already made a pre-selection of possible courses.
Summarizing the school's objectives the needed course contents are the following:
-development of teachers’/AEs fluency/accuracy in English
-multidisciplinary approach to understanding CLIL methodology
-improvement of classroom practice and the use of ICT for CLIL in class
-introduction, discussion and application of CLIL lesson planning, CLIL resources, and the creation of materials
-practical ideas for classroom and project management and activities
-improvement of subject based vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar
-strategies to implement CLIL methodology in class
-delivery of CLIL lesson resources and material
-support teachers'/AEs' personal development
-intercultural learning and boosting one's self-confidence in English
-giving and getting feedback on prepared CLIL lessons in the course
-experience how CLIL is taught on European level
-social activities and networking on a European level

1 week seminar to empower English language skills and develop CLIL methodologies for teachers of all classroom subjects. This course aims at developing teachers’ fluency and accuracy in the English language. Includes CLIL lesson planning, resources, and the creation of materials.
The course addresses teachers of all subjects who would like to refresh and broaden their skills in the English language, implement CLIL methodology in their classes, understand its principles and applications, and find resources and lesson materials. Course for teachers who teach HISTORY or GEOGRAPHY or other Humanities or Arts Subjects (Music, Social Studies, etc.) or Vocational Subjects such as Tourism or Business Studies “Bilingually” in English at Secondary Level Includes: practical sessions on the methodology of C.L.I.L./ “Bilingual” Teaching (providing fresh ideas for teaching these subjects in English; ready made materials and an opportunity to evaluate, adapt and create materials for the English medium history/geography etc. classroom); historical & geographical study visits; observation of lessons in a British secondary school and discussions with British teachers.
