The purpose of this project was to team up with another student to manufacture an object. What I did was team up with another student to create miniature replicas of a person. My part in this project was to manufacture the miniature replica of a person. Once the person was scanned in I was given an .stl file of the object and I had to set it up on the CNC machine. Throughout this, I learned how to program the machine to change bits and how to have a high amount of detail in a finished part.

For this project I added process in SRP player that would let me switch out the bit to a smaller one. I did this so the Mini Me's would have a high amount of detail and not take hundreds of hours to cut out. What I did was have the material be roughed with either a 1/4th ball or a 1/8th ball (depending on how big the material was). Then I would finish them with a 1/8th ball or a 1/16th ball (depending on how big the material was).
