Biography
Brenna Rogers is a native Houstonian who always had a passion to create. Growing up, she participated in theater, dance, and choir, but eventually fell in love with visual and conceptual art. Connection is the basis of her current practice hoping to bring out a familiar feeling or emotion when engaging with her work. In 2020, Rogers graduated from the University of Houston with a BFA in Sculpture and a minor in Art History, with the summa cum laude distinction. In 2022, she graduated from Rice University's Alternative Teaching Certification Program with an Art Educator Certification for EC-12th. Brenna Rogers has shown her work at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, the Houston House of Blues, the Silos at Sawyer Art Yards, the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art, Hardy and Nance Studios, Third Space Gallery, Insomnia Gallery, and other local spots around town. Brenna Rogers has been an Art Educator in the Greater Houston area for 4 years. She currently teaches at the middle school level in Spring Branch ISD while maintaining her career as a professional creative in Houston.
