As a part of the HOSA (Future Health Professionals) State Leadership Conference (SLC), we created Breaking Silence for the Mental Health Promotion competition event. The Mental Health Promotion event provides HOSA members with an introduction to mental health topics with a grounding in prevention. The event is built on the understanding that “mental health IS health” and that we must think about taking care of our mental health just as we do our physical health!

What are you looking forward to on this campaign?

What I'm looking forward to on this campaign: I'm looking forward to working alongside both of you to bring some awareness about social anxiety and helpful or useful tools to those people who may be struggling right now. I'm hopeful that we may be able to inspire others to take steps forward in their own mental health journey, especially if we can empower others to talk with a psychiatrist, therapist, or religious advisor to find the help they need.  I'm also excited to be a part of your creative process and grow with you through the course of this project.
