Minds-on:
Play two 45–60 second audio clips of two short advertisements, one that uses exclusive language and one revised to be inclusive.
Ask students to vote on which audio clip made them feel more included/welcomed and why
Action
Explanation of inclusive language techniques in French (with slideshow):
Provide examples of gender-inclusive strategies (use of epicene nouns, neutral plurals, use of « elles/ils·elles » notation only for written forms where appropriate, or rephrasing to avoid gendered pronouns).
Show respectful identity vocabulary and terms to avoid
Demonstrate simple accessibility strategies (short sentences, bulleted instructions, offer contact for accommodations).
Modelling: Teacher projects a sample announcement and walks through revisions aloud, justifying each inclusive choice
Students will annotate a printed exemplar, marking inclusive choices and suggesting one additional improvement.

Students present their advertisements and give two compliments and one suggestion to each group
