Per Breach Level Index, the United States has lost 11 billion records (75%). In the top 500 test set, the US counted for 80% of all records lost – 7.5 billion.
India and China were the next largest victim countries, with 400 million records lost (4% of total).

62% of all breach incidents occurred in the United States, totaling 276 separate events, over the 5 year test period.
The UK was the next most impacted country, suffering 34 different events and equating to 8% of the 500 tested
