Running this PAC requires some funds. We use the funds for things like printing petitions, buying clipboards and pens, and paying legal fees to ensure paperwork is filed on time. There are also some minor costs associated with registering and maintaining the validity of the PAC with the State of CA.
We also may use PAC funds to pay for signature gatherers. The PAC's preference is to use local Brea young adults (circulators must be 18+) to help gather signatures and pay them for their contributions.
We can receive funds in a number of ways, but the easiest is probably using Zelle. Your bank likely allows transfers to be made via Zelle. Our Zelle email is brearesidentpac@gmail.com.
If you prefer to contribute via a personal check, please contact us at the same email address and we'll either figure out how to get the donation from you in-person or provide you with a mailing address.
NOTE: For donations $100 and over we will need to collect your address, occupation, and employer in order to comply with the requirements of California's Political Reform Act, as administered by the California Fair Political Practices Commission.
The other big need of the PAC is time. Time is often more valuable than money, and thus it can be harder to donate. We will have the need for people to gather signatures of Brea voters in order to qualify items for the local ballot. This work often needs to be done in a short time frame.
If you are able to contribute your time for signature collection, please email us at brearesidentpac@gmail.com.
