Lewis Grain and Ashmoor Building

Ashmoor Mercantile and Post Office, east of Brady

Photograph taken by a Great Falls Studio, Heyn's Elite, in the fall of 1917 when homesteaders for miles around Ashmoor, 28 miles east of Brady, were summoned to a rally to buy government bonds to support the United Sates Effort in World War I. Around 1927 when the Ashmoor Post Office closed, Fred Lewis of Brady bought the building and moved it to the town of Brady. It was the location of Lewis Grain and Implements.
