There are several books that document the history of Brady and the surrounding communities.

Country Roads, is a community history of East Community, the area between the Brady Community and Knees Community. It is out of print and not available online as of yet, but should be available through Interlibrary Loan.

Index for Echoes of the Knees: A History of the Knees Community. Chouteau County, Montana. Knees Community History Book Committee, undated. Indexed by Janet D. Thomson, Ed.D., 2009-2010 (Index, 88 pages).
See special listings: Cemeteries, Churches, Great Stories, Events, Landmarks, Newspapers, Organizations, Schools. Where revealed, women’s maiden names are included; all teachers are also labeled. If one searches this index electronically, she could find information on a female under both the maiden name and married name(s). This index took many months, but I enjoyed the task of reading about these communities in northern Montana. JDT, July, 2010.
