Volunteer

I recently had the opportunity to volunteer for the 2023 Indiana Artisan Marketplace, and it was a wonderful experience! I arrived early Saturday morning to help prepare for opening day and assisted with the finishing touches before the doors opened at 10:00am. Once the doors opened, it was my pleasure to greet the visitors as they walked in and help them with their coats at the complimentary coat check. My favorite part of this experience had to be walking around and seeing the different exhibits, and I was surprised with how busy it was. It was packed as soon as the doors opened, and I quickly learned how big of an event this actually is. While it did get a little busy at the coat check, everyone was extremely nice and helpful, and it was a great learning experience!

I recently had the opportunity to volunteer with the IUPUI School of Health and Human Sciences Marketing Department for a Student Recruitment event! I had the pleasure of working with other classmates in this role, where we put together gift bags for current and future IUPUI students, that were handed out at an Indianapolis Indians game over the weekend. Items in the bag included a cool t-shirt and a name tag for all the students at the event. This experience was very laid back, and stress-free, and a welcomed experience compared to what I'm used to. Even though this experience was relatively easy, communication between everyone involved was key to our success, and made the experience fun. I had a great time working with my classmates and the Marketing Department during our few hours together!
