Unfortunately we are CLOSED, for the next week or two, or longer,
depending on the remaining greenberries
and if they will come to fruition or not.
Thank you for your custom so far.
(Picking is more suitable for experienced pickers
who know how to squat.)
Remember the smallest berries (that you ignored last time) are still there - and are the sweetest - because they actually get to ripen.
Also the later varieties are starting to ripen too.

(unless people try to force them open manually
which will reset the system and can delay opening.
Closing again at 4:45).
Ask me about these harnesses - they're actually really good!
Please don't chase the little chickens, they tire very easily
and their mother will (it turns out) take exception.

or peeing on the blueberry bushes, or chasing the chickens, pheasants or peacocks).

Boyds Blueberry Farm is a family-owned business nestled among hectares of beautiful Canterbury farmland. We've cultivated hundreds of berry bushes that blush blue with juicy blueberries just 15-minute drive southwest of Christchurch.
Our aim is to provide a wholesome pick-your-own blueberries experience for you, your friends and your family (or even your date 😉).
Our opening hours are usually (but not always) being Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
And the picking season is usually just the first three monthes of the year, but last year finished in February and a couple of years back : the 2nd of June!
Nothing is set, or written, in stone, so best to always check in with this website before coming - just to make sure we're actually open.

Pro Tip: If your'e coming from the city direction, the safest way to turn into our property is to drive past it another 200m to Alameda Place, do a U-turn there and double back.
(Don't believe Google maps - there is no car access from Alameda Place!).
