Understanding the Metabolism

Metabolism is central to cellular functions, which fuels all cellular activities with building blocks and energy. Harnessing the chemical diversity of microorganisms could improve our understanding of small molecules, including important drugs. Therefore, our aim is to explore the linking between sequence space and chemical diversity with both computational and experimental approaches.

Our projects in metabolism focused on:

  • The metabolic capabilities of human gut microorganisms
See our recent work related to CAZYme, Bile acid et.al.

  • The secondary metabolism of bacteria, fungi and plant.
See our recent work related to Penucillum, yeast et.al.

  • Discovery of novel enzyme
See our recent work related to cocoa butter, polyamine et.al.

  • Development of tools for metabolic modeling
See our recent work related to genome-scale metabolic models, et.al.
