P&C General meetings are held monthly - check Sentral calendar for latest dates and details.
The Bourke Street Public School P&C is a dynamic and supportive group of parents and carers who work together to strengthen our school community and create opportunities for our children.
Through fundraising and community initiatives, the P&C helps fund important school programs and resources. In recent years, support from families and local businesses has helped deliver:
Our beautiful school playground
Air-conditioning in every classroom
Subsidies for the music and band program
Technology and literacy resources
2025 is our fete year, and it is our major fundraising moment — bringing families, teachers, local businesses and supporters together to create something truly special for our school.
🕕 When: First Wednesday of every month, 6pm – 7:15pm
📍 Where: School library + online
✅ Who: Open to all parents and carers (members and non-members)
Meetings are a friendly space to:
Hear updates from the school and P&C
Share ideas and feedback
Help make decisions that support our kids and school community
Note: Dates may shift around school holidays — please check Sentral for updates.
There are lots of ways to be part of the P&C — big or small:
Volunteer at events (like the fete, BBQs or working bees)
Join a committee (events, fundraising, sustainability, sponsorship)
Become a Class Rep
Attend monthly P&C meetings
Vote on funding decisions (financial members only)
Support fundraising drives
Help spread the word
Myth busted: Coming to a P&C meeting doesn’t mean you’ll be given a job! You can simply listen, connect and stay informed.
Each class has a Class Rep who helps share information between teachers, the P&C and families. Class Reps also help build community within their year group by coordinating class catch-ups and communications. Together, we achieve more for our children — and everyone is welcome to be part of it.
