About the Bourkey P&C

Our school has a dynamic, engaged and supportive Parents & Citizens Association. The P&C provides assistance to the school through fundraising activities. Recent fundraising has supported the completion of our beautiful playground, provided air-conditioning in classrooms, subsidised our music program and supported the purchasing of technology equipment and literacy resources.

P&C meetings are held on the last Wednesday of every month 6pm-7:15pm in the school library & online and all parents are encouraged to attend.

Note: We do vary the meeting date a little throughout the year around holidays so please check Sentral for details.

The meetings provide a forum where parents and carers can participate in making decisions, discuss matters of interest and look for ways to further support the school.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT AND THE P&C

Parents and families play an important role in supporting their child's education. We value and encourage parents and carers to be involved in their child's learning and progress both at school and beyond.

Ways you can get involved:

One of the misconceptions about attending P&C meetings is that you will be pressured to take on jobs etc... This just doesn't happen in meetings. All signups for activities etc... happen across the whole school via signup sheets or via class reps.

 P&C CLASS REPRESENTATIVE

Each year classes elect a P&C class rep to assist with disseminating information from the P&C and classroom teacher, and to be a ‘Go-To Person’ to assist parents with information and school routines.

Our school is enormously proud of our high level of parent involvement and partnership, together we can achieve so much for our children.
