Name of Organization: Tenoh People’s Liberation Front (TPLF)
Base/Extent of Operations: Unknown; Likely many independent cells.
Leadership: William Ostrokov, Marley (Will’s SO)
Notable Members: Kimura
Connection to Current Cast: Charlotte Ostrokov, Andy Ashenguard
Activities: Covert operations, espionage, and sabotage directed against the Nakatomi Group and any other organizations that pose a threat to the autonomy of the people of Tenoh.
History: Very little is publicly known of the movement, when it truly started as more than disgruntled miners tired of corporate autocracy, and how it operates in the present. There have always been riots and strikes to quell on the dismal moon, and acts of apparent terrorism blamed on a few, crazed individuals. Most of these though, one would be hard-pressed to find records of to begin with. Nakatomi’s PR department is quick to dismiss incidents as accidents, and make dissidents disappear.
This changed in early 2313 when a series of coordinated strikes resulted in the loss of hundreds of lives between staged riots, raids on Nakatomi armories on Tenoh, a Coalition cargo ship loaded with crystals being lost, and several other ships being reported lost or missing in the course of a single day. With Coalition assets lost and the scope of the attack, Nakatomi could not hide the incident and, gradually, over the coming months, the rumors began; Missing Tenohans that were not in fact dead as reported, pirates selling high-end tech to new clients, Nakatomi assets on other worlds or stations being robbed, vandalized, or outright destroyed.
Both the CDF and Nakatomi Group have been careful to avoid spreading misinformation and causing a panic in the interstellar market, but for anyone watching the news, digging carefully on the net, there is clearly some entity that has them both on edge. No where was this clearer than after the attack on the Nakatomi Group’s crown jewel of the new, terraformed corporate paradise of Grand Teton on New Year’s Eve, 2313. While the media plays it calm, behind the scenes, the Nakatomi Group is still scrambling to even calculate the cost of that incident.
