Current Leaders/Figures of Note: Shiro Mori--is a bit notorious among some circles as the sort of prospector who stole other people's finds and maybe might have murdered some of his rivals in order to establish his presence--or hired someone to do the murdering, anyway.
Mori isn't exactly well-liked by other prospectors, but he knows how to schmooze and connect with the industries that want the sort of information a prospector like him can provide. First, he bought a moon with a particularly good find. Then he decided he wanted to start a company of prospectors who would work for him, so he could focus more on the schmoozing end of things. He's in the process of converting his moon base home into more of a moon base saloon slash business headquarters.
In-Play Characters from this Location: None.
Human Mutations: None.
Geography/Biodiversity: Located on a small moon, there is no native life. The population is diverse, but with a theme - people either desperate enough to move out this way, or with a shine in their eye for a wild bet.
History: Still under construction, Mori's Landing was founded less than a year ago when Shiro Mori made a deal for the moon, planning to use it as a base of operations for mining asteroids in the region. Since then, it's developed all the bare essentials of a station, but very little else. Mori's focus instead has been on expanding his operations, with plans to add to the base.
There is a strict no gun policy on Mori's Landing. In order to disembark your ship, you must pass through a sensor, thus ensuring that all firearms are left on ship. The option to check weapons is there for people who are staying on Mori's for a length of time. As for what happens if you're caught with one, no one knows yet, since it hasn't happened.
