Appearance: Honey brown eyes, soft chestnut curls, cute as a button. Her little baby teeth are crooked in the front and her canines, which are just coming in, just a touch sharp. Laelia-Belle also has gills on her ribs that look just like Seth's.
Personality: Laelia-Belle was born deaf but this doesn't stop her from claiming the attention of everyone in the room. Though she can't hear the noises she makes, she learned very quickly that a shrieking squeal will get everyone to look at her and she'll reward that attention with a smile bright enough to rival a Paradise afternoon.
She's curious, quick to toddle off and explore, and doesn't hesitate to touch things she's not supposed to. She has a daring streak and a tendency to climb. Hates to sleep and has a bit of a biting problem.
Laelia-Belle can sign, though not as extensively as she would have been able to had she had a signing parent from birth. She mostly seems to know a handful of baby signs that help her to meet her needs.
When she's tired, unsure, or otherwise in need of comfort, she sucks on the two middle fingers of her hand.
History: Grown in an artificial womb, Katerina was the product of two sets of DNA - Seth Frost and Cayden Smock. To put it simply, she was the result of an obsession taken to the extreme, as a way to fulfill Cayden's fantasy of having a life and a family with Seth.
After her 'birth', she was taken to Asphodel Meadows and lived with Cayden and his family on their ranch. And there she stayed, for the most part, overseen by Cade when he was home and extended family or the live-in nanny when he wasn't.
When Cade made an arrangement to finally meet Seth in person, to finally get the chance to offer him what only Cade could - a life of status and wealth with someone who would worship the ground Seth walked on - he brought Katya with him. If all went well with Seth, then he'd introduce the two.
As it was, Katya didn't get to meet the other half of her genetic donor until a day or so later, when Cade's ship was set upon by the crew of the Hellion.
She was taken in and her connection to Seth quickly came to light. The crew arranged to have a fake birth certificate drawn up, listing Seth and CJ as her parents, and changed her name to Laelia-Belle. She currently lives on Paradise with Seth and CJ's moms.
