We are an FTC (First Tech Challenge) team that strives to bring aspects of robotics into our community.

We do this by hosting multiple workshops to teach children about robotics and programming! Our most popular workshop is the Robotic Petting Zoo, a creation of our own. In this event, they pick an animal and sketch out their ideas. They then implement smaller robotics aspects such as adding glowing eyes (LEDs) and making the legs move (Servos). This helps bring their ideas to life and through this, they learn skills about coding with block code, teamwork, engineering, along with so much more.
Secondly, we make it a habit to not only attend every community event possible but also host some of our own. This year, we have already participated in four community events with more on the way. This year we participated in Ingenuity Camp again, allowing us to reach out to kids already interested in STEAM. We also work towards bringing more education to the least advantaged members of our society by working with non-profits such as SHIM. These two outreachs alone introduced robotics to over 227 kids!
