The Upper St Clair School District now offers STEAM enrichment activities for students in grades K–12 thanks to the growth of the USC Robotics Club. This is because we, through this team, work with the middle schools and elementary schools with robotics-related clubs and activities benefitting the whole school district. These include not just the FIRST Tech Challenge, but also, the FIRST LEGO League.
Hello, we are BotsBurgh 11792! We are a FTC team comprising 10 members. Our biggest goals are to introduce robotics to as many kids as possible and to solve the FTC problem with innovative and out-of-the-box solutions no one has thought of before. 2022 - 2024 we were able to reach over 1000 kids. We were also able to design and code FTC's first Triangle Robot!
Throughout our years of evolving as a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team, community outreach has remained one of our core values. BotsBurgh has continually mentored local FIRST Lego League (FLL) teams and other FTC teams, even a new Vex team, to develop effective solutions through reflection after competitions, strived to be a model FTC team, and emphasized the importance of reaching out to kids in the community. In addition to mentoring several teams, BotsBurgh has partnered with multiple non-profits such as Hello Neighbor and Remake Learning, several local organizations like Odyssey of the Mind and BSA Troop 228, and hosted workshops and camps to introduce kids to robotics. Additionally, BotsBurgh has represented USC Robotics for years as a key member.
