2026-2027 Interested NHS Members Requirements 

Current Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors who want to join NHS for the 2026-2027 School Year (2025-2026 School year application due date has passed): Applications are open! 

The Following items are Due on February 6th, 2026:

1. Activity Information Application Form is Due - To join the 2026-2027 year, you must fill out the Application Form & turn it in to Mrs. Misener (via mailbox). Be sure to plan ahead, as you need a signature from Mr. Ashcroft (or Ms. Enstrom) in the main office for academic honesty record. If for any reasons, the school was closed on that day,  you may email it to her (cmisener@nsd.org), or just wait until the school is open. However, it is highly recommended to turn it in earlier than the deadline. 

2. 10 hours of community service for interested members are required (preferably the same activity to show commitment) as well as signatures from your parents/guardians and Mr. Ashcroft for academic honesty record.  Note: You do NOT need 40 hours of community service to apply, that is the requirement for current members. 

You will hear back from the faculty council of your acceptance sometime in April via email.

Participation is Required for the Following Dates (If you are accepted):

• Thursday, May 21st, 2026, 6:00 PM - Induction Ceremony at NPAC 

  • Doors opens at 5:30 PM and the ceremony starts at 6:00 PM 

  • Wear nice clothes! (dress shirt, suit, dress, white top and black bottom, etc.)
