Service Learning Updates

This page is specifically for our Service Learning Group updates. Please check here for supply needs and important dates. 

If you're interested in joining our Service Learning Group, please join us at 99 Nicholas Dr. in North Pole on Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00. We welcome anyone from age 11-17! 

Please let us know if you are able to attend one or both of the Fall events this weekend! 

October 29th-December 3rd: The kids expressed interest in working with younger kids. So they will be helping with holiday crafts with small kids during Miss Susan's kid's holiday craft extravaganza. Meetings will still be from 4-6pm. If there is a group who would rather not work with the younger kids, we will have alternative activities in the back space of the building. Proceeds from these classes will help to fund our adventures throughout the year. 

Donations needed: 

• If we could get a bag of candy from each family to hand out at our events, that would be amazing. 

Upcoming Events: 

CANCELLED  Nov 15th: Join Arctic Explorers Preschool families at the Fairbanks Food Bank from 9am-1pm to pack food boxes (usually done by 11am).   CANCELLED

Dec 5th or 12th:  TENTATIVE DATES! We are going to have a holiday skate party. Any student who attends at least 4 meetings will get to attend for free! Friends are welcome too, but will need to pay for entry and skate rental if they have not attended at least 4 sessions. 

Dec 6th: Ringing of the Bell! This is an event that Arctic Explorers does every year, and we were invited to join! More info to come!

Dec 10th: This will be our last meeting until after the holidays. We have not picked a start-back date in January yet. 

January 23rd: TENTATIVE DATE! Luminary Walk. More info to come.
