Emergency Care & Medical Authorization
Your pet’s health and safety are our top priority.
By booking with Booked & Boarded, you authorize us to seek veterinary care for your pet in the event of illness, injury, or any situation we reasonably believe requires medical attention.
We will make every reasonable effort to contact you and/or your listed emergency contact before seeking care. However, in urgent or life-threatening situations, we will not delay treatment if immediate care is needed.
You agree to be fully responsible for all veterinary expenses incurred during your pet’s stay, including but not limited to exams, diagnostics, medications, emergency transport, and treatment.
We will use your preferred veterinarian when possible. If your vet is unavailable or the situation is time-sensitive, we will use the nearest available licensed veterinary clinic or emergency hospital.
Abandoned Pets / Failure to Pick Up
Pets must be picked up on the scheduled departure date unless prior arrangements have been made.
If a pet is not picked up within 72 hours of the scheduled departure date and we have not received communication from the owner, the pet may be considered abandoned.
In cases of suspected abandonment, we will make reasonable attempts to contact the owner and emergency contacts on file.
If no response is received, we reserve the right to transfer the pet to a licensed animal shelter or rescue organization, in accordance with applicable local laws.
The owner remains fully responsible for all boarding fees, additional care costs, and any expenses incurred until the pet is officially released to the owner or transferred to another authorized party.
Health, Injury & Pre-Existing Conditions
Owners are responsible for disclosing all known medical conditions, behavioral concerns, allergies, and medications prior to boarding.
Booked & Boarded is not liable for complications arising from undisclosed pre-existing conditions or age-related health issues.
We will provide reasonable care and attention, but we cannot guarantee outcomes related to a pet’s underlying health status.
