Tuition may be paid in full for the entire year or it may be paid in 12 equal monthly installments.
Tuition Installments are due in full, on the first day of each month.
*If the first day of the month happens to fall on a holiday or a week where you are not attending a lesson, tuition can be paid in person prior to the 1st or it can be paid through electronic platforms. (Venmo/Zelle)
Payment Reminders/Requests will be sent at the end of each month for the upcoming month.
A late fee of $15 will be charged after the 7th of the month.

Each student is scheduled for a specific weekly time slot. Your payment reserves that time slot. As with a Gym membership, dance class or gymnastics class you are responsible for tuition whether you attend each of your lessons or not.
Current Tuition Rates:
Standard Single Student Private lessons:

***Tuition is set at a yearly rate and the option is given for monthly payments/installments to make it more affordable.
***Tuition covers the cost of 40 Lessons over the course of one calendar year.
** Example: If a student starts lessons in March, they will recieve 40 lessons by the end of February. If a student starts lessons in June, they will recieve 40 lessons by the end of May.
Where does your tuition go and what does it cover?
Time spent with the student
Time spent in preparation for the student
Trips to the music store, lesson planning, bookkeeping, development of curriculum, etc. It has been cited by professional music journals that for every hour enrolled in piano lessons, you are investing in at least 2 hours of the teachers time!
Your teacher’s training and experience
Recital costs and preparations
Programs, refreshments, facility rental.
Professional organization memberships- Memberships are maintained by the teacher to enhance their teaching skills and provide the student with opportunities for festivals, competitions, and performance events.

Make-Up and Missed Lessons:
Missed Lessons: Because specific times are set aside for specific students, a student who does not attend a lesson will simply miss the benefit of that lesson. I will then use that time to plan for the student’s progress, locate materials, etc. Please be assured that your tuition pays for far more than the time spent in your lesson (see “Where Does My Tuition Go?”). There are no refunds or discounts. Makeups are not given unless I am unable to teach the promised number of lessons that are included in tuition.
There are 52 weeks in the calendar year, and tuition covers 40 lessons per year. Therefore, there are 12 weeks over the course of the year that are not included in the cost of tuition. This model allows for the student to experience the full benefit of their tuition without a negative impact from missed lessons due to holidays, vacations and illness related absences.
*Makeup Lesson Exception: As a general rule makeups will not be given. I do understand that sometimes extenuating circumstances arise that are out of our control and a lesson may be missed.
The qualifying parameters for a missed lesson to be made up are the following:
-Cancelation by myself that would prevent the student from receiving the 40 lessons included in the cost of tution.
-Cancelation by the student due to an emergency or extinuating cirumstances that would prevent the student from receiving the 40 lessons included in the cost of tuition.
-Cancelation due to Extreme Weather/Lack of Power/Hurricane that would prevent the student from receiving the 40 lessons that are included in the cost of tution.
- Student Planned Vacations/Absences/Conflicts that are discussed with me in advance and that would prevent the student from receiving the 40 lessons that are included in the cost of tuition.
FACETIME:
If you cannot make it to your scheduled lesson due to illness, weather or other personal reasons, you can choose to have your lesson via FACETIME during your regular lesson time.
Sick Policy
Illness: Students who are ill should not come to piano lessons. As a general rule, if the student is unable to go to work or school due to illness on the day of their lesson, then they should not come to their lesson. I reserve the right to send a student home if they arrive sick. If the student is only mildly ill, please email or text me and we can do a Facetime lesson.
Tardiness:
Please be on time! If a student arrives late, only the remainder of their lesson will be given.
Leaving minors at lessons:
-If you leave the studio while your child is in the lesson, Please return by the end of the lesson to pick your child up on time. IF you are not on time, you will be charged for my time. The rate is $60 an hour.
Holidays:
Please note- NO Lessons will be given on Holidays observed by Comal ISD.
Discontinuing Lessons:
-If a student choses to discontinue lessons, a written notice of intention is required one month prior to discontinuing. (Example: To discontinue for July written notice would need to be submitted by the first lesson in June.)
-If a notice is not given the student will be responsible for the the tuition for the month. ( Example: Johnny decides to discontinue lessons in July but does not give notice until after July has begun, he will still be responsible for July's tuition and August's tuition as well.
-One month notice is required. No refunds will be given.
Incentive Programs : Ages 4 - until you feel too old to participate.
Students can earn Maestro Money at each lesson.
Maestro Money can be spent on prizes available at every lesson.
I also use Maestro Money during lessons as reward and feedback.
Each Student earns $1 for every 10 minutes of practice time recorded.
A Bonus dollar is given if the student practices at least 5 days a week.
Students agree to arrive at each lesson punctually, well-prepared, and with their assignment books and music. To make good progress, daily quality practice is necessary. I want you to completely understand every assignment; please ask questions.
Practicing is not a suggestion… it is mandatory. Please keep in mind the quality of the practice is the prioty not the length of the practice sessions.
I will always provide specific practice stratagies to use so that practice time is producitve and efficent. Implementing the stratagies and techniques that are assigned will reduce the length of the practice sessions and increase student productivity and sucess.
Each Student must have an Acoustic or Electric Piano (88 keys/weighted/touch sensitive) to practice on at home.
Each Student is responsible for purchasing assigned materials.
We look forward to working with you as we embark on a new and exciting musical journey this upcoming year.
Musically,
