Intercultural Evidence

I designed a group of lessons based on an activity in Corbett (2010) centered on the language of fandom. In these lessons, learners explore the language used to support their own teams and criticize rival teams when talking about sporting events. The Intercultural Objectives were for students to be able to use appropriate rehearsed behaviors when reacting to a sporting event and to reflect in writing whether the language used to praise and criticize teams is similar or different across sports and countries.

Below you will find a comprehensive description of the entire 4 day activity along with rubrics and outside links.
