2023 National Ag week

National ag Day

National Ag Day is a celebration and advocacy event that was created by the Agriculture Council of America in 1973. The purpose of this celebration is to bring awareness about the vital role agriculture plays in our everyday life. National Ag Day is held every March during National Ag Week, so the date varies each year.

2023 local Theme

Each year, the Education Committee selects a theme to highlight a different sector of agriculture during the National Ag Day celebration activities.

The 2023 local lesson theme is "Bee Kind to Pollinators", to educate students about the role pollinators play in the modern food production and the environment.

Our team of board members and volunteers will be visiting classes all over Bourbon County on March 21, 2023 to lead activities all about pollinators!

Want to go all out for National Ag Week? We've prepared an activity that can be incorporated into your curriculum each day!
