Kaiser is a longtime public servant in Chesapeake politics, having served since the 117th Congress. First elected as a Senator, Kaiser suffered a debilitating stroke during his term in office and was forced to resign. After a long, painstaking recovery process, Kaiser was determined to reenter the political arena and won a seat in the state assembly. After a successful term, he won election in CH-2, ousting the GOP from the district in the closest race of the year- a margin of 0.10%. In Congress, he was a prolific advocate for the US military and social issues, voting to maintain a strong American presence in the Middle East and ensure equality for LGBT Americans. Kaiser, the dean of the Chesapeake delegation, is seeking another term to continue his fight for our troops. In his spare time, Kaiser serves as the editor in chief for the Monthly Moose, the Bull Moose Party's official newspaper. He also enjoys crocheting, and holds the Guiness World Record for longest green and white pattern ever crocheted, which he did for a BMP fundraiser in 2018.
