Boyana Martinova

I received my PhD from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin - Madison in May of 2026, where I was co-advised by Daniel Erman and Jose Israel Rodriguez. In the fall, I'll be starting as a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at Stanford University. 

My research interests are centered around questions in commutative algebra, with connections to algebraic geometry and combinatorics. My CV can be found here (updated November 2025). 

Prior to coming to Madison, I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Utah. While there, I wrote an honors thesis on introductory algebraic geometry under the advisement of Karl Schwede.
