Emogenius is a systems advocacy group where we advocate for others in education by way of computer science and electrical engineering for individuals with cognitive and emotional exceptionalities by providing:

transparency with regards to who we are and who we represent
clear communication
confidentiality to respect the privacy of others
independence of mind, body and soul

What is an Emogenius?

Emo - emotional as we possess empathy

Genius - the intellect to conceptualize complex mechanism and break them down into their simplest forms to provide understanding

Why do we advocate?

We advocate because everyone has the right to be heard, represented and understood. We decided to advocate for our emogeniuses worldwide after observing the deep learning limitations that were present in urban areas due to inequitable academic resources

The Emogenious Manifesto:

Emogenius is a systems advocacy group that advocates for the misunderstood genius who is highly intelligent, empathic, creative, free-thinking individuals who possess the ability to change our world. Historically we have been referred to as Indigo Children, Crystal Children and Star Seed/Star Children. We are passionate individuals who oftentimes feel out of place/lost because we don't fit in. Unfortunately, many of us don't talk because there is so much power behind our words that some people misinterpret our confidence and all-knowing as arrogance. We are changing the narrative, altering perspectives and shifting mindsets to embrace the changes of the 21st century. We solve problems so that we will experience continued acceptance of who we are in our world, holistic health and a focused, methodical mind that will pay it forward to the future generations. The goals of the emogenius are achieved by education, training and networking.

Ethical Expectations:

No abuse of any kind

No interactions with felons or sex offenders

No harassment from strangers or others

No threatening of one's personal safety

No humiliation, "roasting", "barbecuing" or "frying" rituals

No misleading sign language

No misleading code language

No probing or inspections

Problem Solving in the real world:

Distance Learning [HS & Adult Ed] at scholars pace to address the time factor for individual education plans [IEP'S]
Project Based Learning to address the kinesthetic learning style
College alternative for creative thinkers to address behavioral intervention plans
Mobile Professional Development (MPD) to address limited cognition and attention spans
Free resources and equitable technology education to address socioeconomic limitations
Artistic creativity and variety to address inclusivity and diversity
