In SCCA-sanctioned autocross events, there are many different classes that you can run your car in. In this guide, I will cover the most common setups for a Subaru vehicle powered by a FB20 or FB25. For class-specific rules on what’s allowed and what’s not allowed in each class, please refer to the SCCA Solo Rulebook.
If you plan on autocrossing regularly, please use 5W-30 engine oil. Autocrossing with the factory-recommended 0W-20 or 0W-16 is a recipe for disaster.
Only the Impreza and Legacy can be run in Street. The Crosstrek, Forester, and Outback cannot run in Street due to the rollover risk.
