Blue Marine is well situated on the island and in walking distance of; the center of Maho village with its famous beach, Mullet Bay with its tropical sand and transparent turquoise water and for the enthusiast there is Maho golf club. Within 10 Mins drive you can visit Simpson Bay which has everything you could want including for a day or an evening out even an air conditioned Cinema. In Philipsburg the capital you can stroll along the board walk shop in front street and see the huge cruise ships in the port. The island is separated into two sides the Dutch Sint Marteen where Blue Marine is situated and the French Saint Martin. Visit the French side of the island and you can sample french culture and cuisine and visit the brightly colored creole village of Grand Case or one of the many beach resorts. If you like walking there are many coastal paths and routes in the hills that will keep you busy
Currency: You can use US Dollars and credit cards on the Dutch side of the island, on the French side primary currency is Euros but most places take US Dollars and credit cards.
Maho Beach
Maho beach whilst being a great beach is also world famous as it provides tourists with the exhilarating experience of seeing airplanes landing only a few yards above their heads.
Top tip: watch out when they take off, stand to the side and watch people get sand blasted and blow into the sea

Mullet Bay
In walking distance from the residence is the beautiful tropical beach of Mullet Bay with its bleached white sands crystal clear blue water. This is a great place to relax and top up your suntan. There is a beach bar, a restaurant and a quite end of the beach so will suite all tastes
Maho Golf Course
5 mins by car from the residence is the only golf course on the whole island. It has a great layout around the lagoon and uses the natural terrain to shape the routing exceptionally well.

Maho Village
A 10 min walk from Blue Marine and you are in the tourist center of Maho village. By day there is plenty to do with its cafés, many restaurants catering for all tastes, shopping with duty-free boutiques, Spas, hotels, and beach, but its at night Maho that really comes alive with its bars, casino and night clubs.
Just a short taxi ride away and you can be in the centre of Simpson Bay, a large town situated on the south of the island which has everything to make your day or evening special.
Visit the quaint French Caribbean village of Grand case with its brightly colored Creole houses. You can sample Cajun, Creole and french cuisine at the many intimate restaurants, there is even a Caribbean open air barbecue. After wander along main street, visit the many boutiques and perhaps have a drink at one of the bars overlooking the sea.

Although St Marteen may be a small island there are plenty of areas to explore on foot. There are many foot paths in the hills with super views of the entire Island and adjacent islands different flora and fauna. There are areas in the north of the island that are untouched by construction and still wild such as Rotary Point. For those that cannot walk too far you can still have those wonderful views at Pic Paradis but beware it is a steep car ride
