Currently the product is in the prototype stage and has very little user interface. When power is supplied to the Arduino, the system begins operating. Vibrations will begin to occur when an obstacle is within four (4) meters of the sensor and will increase in intensity as the obstacle approaches closer to the user (or the user approachers closer to the obstacle). The vibrations will occur in the general region of the body from which the obstacle is approaching (either directly to the front, forward and to the right, or forward and to the left). The device is also capable of detecting changes in elevation, provided that these changes are at least 0.2 meters in magnitude. These changes will trigger a fourth vibration motor, located significantly lower than the proximity alerts but centrally located. The larger the change in elevation detected, the stronger the resulting vibration will be.
