This product is designed to provide information about surrounding environments using ToF sensors. On the first prototype, there are two sensor arrays, one to give proximity alerts and a second to provide notifications about changes in elevation. The proximity sensor array utilizes servos to scan back and forth, widening the field that it can view.
The system currently has a waist mounted sensor array that detects obstacles at that level and sends responses to the appropriate area using vibration motors. The elevation detection occurs at the same place, with an additional sensor oriented downwards, and gives alerts via a vibration motor positioned at a location lower on the body, but also centrally located. Both sensors are rotated by the servo. More details can be found in the image below.
