Standard 7 - Assessment – The competent teacher understands and uses appropriate formative and summative assessments for determining student needs, monitoring student progress, measuring student growth, and evaluating student outcomes. The teacher makes decisions driven by data about curricular and instructional effectiveness and adjusts practices to meet the needs of each student.
7J- Uses assessment results to determine student performance levels, identify learning targets, select appropriate research-based instructional strategies, and implement instruction to enhance learning outcomes
7M- Maintains useful and accurate records of student work and performance
7O- Effectively uses appropriate technologies to conduct assessments, monitor performance, and assess student progress
This artifact includes a link to a test example that I created on Google Forms as an example of an assessment that I created to complete a course assignment. The test consisted of 8 multiple choice questions that was at or above Bloom's Taxonomony application level and 2 essay questions as well. The second link is my test analysis project that shows the results of that test I created and an explanation of those results I received on the test based on 10 total students and how I plan on enhancing my future learning outcomes.
Google Forms is an effective way to create quizzes or tests by using multiple forms of assessment to measure student learning. You are able to use a variety of question types, including multiple choice, short answer, and essay questions, to assess student understanding of the content. A Google Forms test can be one form of assessment used in conjunction with other forms of assessment, such as class discussions, homework assignments, and projects.
Google Forms can also be set up to provide immediate feedback to students upon completion of the assessment. Teachers can also review and analyze the data collected from the Google Form to identify areas of strength and weakness in student learning, and to provide timely and meaningful feedback to individual students. The data collected from the Google Forms test can be used to inform and improve instruction. Teachers can use the data to identify areas of student weakness and adjust their instruction accordingly. They can also use the data to identify areas of strength and adjust instruction to challenge advanced learners.
In summary, a Google Forms test aligns with Standard 7 of assessment by measuring student learning, using multiple forms of assessment, providing timely and meaningful feedback, and using assessment data to inform and improve instruction. By using Google Forms in assessment, teachers can help ensure that their instruction is effective and meets the needs of all learners.

Rationale-
This artifact is a Vocabulary Formative Assessment that I gave to the students in my direct instruction FELA high school class. The artifact aligns with Standard 7- Assessment. A vocabulary formative assessment can be used to measure student learning by assessing their understanding of specific vocabulary words or terms.
The vocabulary formative assessment was designed to provide ongoing feedback to students throughout the learning process of their vocabulary knowledge. The formative assessment allowed me to provide immediate feedback to my students on their understanding of specific vocabulary words, allowing them to identify areas where they needed additional support. The data I collected from the vocabulary formative assessment was used to inform and improve further instruction. I used the data to identify areas of student weakness and adjusted my instruction accordingly. The data also identified areas of strength and that allowed me to adjust instruction to challenge advanced learners.
In summary, a vocabulary formative assessment aligns with Standard 7 of assessment by measuring student learning, providing meaningful feedback, and using assessment data to inform and improve instruction. By using the vocabulary formative assessment, it allowed me to see where my students were at and how I can adjust my instruction for future lessons.
